Hello ,
Today we have chosen to take 2 phones to the battlefield. Even though this is not a blog directly dedicated to Touch Screen PHONES, we are currently focusing on such, as being a hot trend amongst people today. The data we have gathered is still owned by its respective owners and the following comparison we obtained from the LG website and we have added some of our personal opinions and ideas on the matter as well.

Hope it proves worthy of your needs and you`re always welcome to drop a comment.

| The brightest star yet in the LG handset lineup, the new VENUS combines the best of all worlds! Available in black or pink, this sophisticated and stunning slider features dual screens with interactive touch navigation, music player, 2.0 megapixel camera/camcorder, and microSD memory port for extra storage. | I personaly have to go with the QWERTY keyboard. Both look shiny at first but the fact that I can feel comfortable typing an email "Computer" style rather than "SMS" style just does the trick better. |
If sublime style and profound performance are part of your mobile destiny, the new VOYAGER™ is just what you’ve been waiting for. The first handset with both interactive touch screen and a full QWERTY keyboard, this one-of-a-kind wonder can also tune you in and turn you on to V CAST Mobile TV and full HTML Internet browsing. The VOYAGER™ will take you where you want to go with a music player, dual speakers for stereo sound, Bluetooth, and a 2.0 megapixel camera & camcorder. |
| CDMA, 1.9 GHz CDMA PCS, 800 MHz CDMA (Digital Dual-Band) | No difference Here | CDMA, 1.9 GHz CDMA PCS, 800 MHz CDMA (Digital Dual-Band) |
| 4.00" (H) x 2.00" (W) x 0.62" (D), 3.79 oz. | Size Matters and the Venus is just smaller, which in this case is actually a good thing. | 4.64" (H) x 2.12" (W) x 0.71" (D), 4.69 oz. |
| Upper LCD: 262K Color TFT, 320 x 240 Pixels, 2.00" Lower LCD: 262K Color TFT, 176 x 240 Pixels, 1.49" |
I cant take a side here.. its up to you and your personal likes in the matter. | Internal LCD: 262K Color TFT, 400 x 240 Pixels, 2.81" External Touch LCD: 262K Color TFT, 400 x 240 Pixels, 2.81" |
Now the first look that we got up there was nothing special.. just plain stats and it seems both phones keep the scales firm. It comes down to personal likes and dislikes.
The nice people at C|Net have pulled up some good reviews and in order to be fair we wont take sides either.
The Venus has a pretty nifty onboard touch screen navigation, music player and a very comfortable keypad (yes it does have a keypad). Now compared to the Voyager it is not as flashy but it is very comfortable to handle and work with and it is also quite small in size without hurting features.

Taking a look at the Voyager I'm starting to have second thoughts on my previously excited anticipation. Now at first look it is gorgeous, YES! It has this amazing touch screen display that gives you a lot of control and then it flips open to reveal a bit larger once again touch screen for extended use and web page browsing. Very comfortable keypad, good spacing between keys and interestingly enough it also has a full touch screen keypad. One inconsistency however happens to be that same virtual keypad available on both screens, on the outer one it is a regular ABC, DEF .. and the other one is just like a computer.. quite strange.
The control buttons located on the top are quite hard to manipulate and it takes some twisting and turning. The Voyager a heir to the ENVY did not inherit its camera flash or camera cover, but it does compensate on weight :) .

Now, there's just one more thing I need to mention before concluding this.
The Voyager looks terribly like another phone. And I mean menu, design, features, order... Im not going to mention any names, just post up a picture.

I`ll let you decide, who stole what and from whom.

hello and welcome.
This is a new innovative idea driven behind future prospective. The touch screen applications become more popular with every single day and the expansion of those futuristic products will soon become part of our present daily life.
We look forward to establishing a solid and dedicated community and grow along with the touch screen innovations :).
thanx.
More to come (really) soon.
